A generous gesture by businessman John Morphet will help raise tens of thousands of pounds for the Lancashire children's hospice Derian House of Chorley. He is allowing one of his luxury holiday homes in Barbados to be used by Derian House to raise funds for the hospice.

The two bedroomed apartment is on the Royal Westmoreland estate and is owned by the Pure Leisure Group, Mr. Morphet's company. Mr. Morphet made the offer after he found out that the hospice is only ten per cent funded by the Government. He said it was a fantastic cause and he was incredibly privilidged to be involved.
